Many people have seen the popular Hummer on the roads; unmistakeable in their size and demeanour. The original civilian Hummer vehicle was based on the military Humvee vehicle, or HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose wheeled vehicle). The civilian version became increasingly popular over the years and was exported to various areas across the world. Today however, there has been an increasing amount of criticism voiced, and it is unknown whether the vehicle will continue to be manufactured. (more…)

Why is it that humans can be so cruel to animals without a second thought? So many of us seem to think that we are the superior race, and that we simply have the right to use other animals and inflict pain on them as a sport! Did any of you hear about the man who beat up a poor innocent kangaroo in Australia for the sport of it? Or the person who shot and killed a newly introduced Red Kite in the UK? (more…)

Yes, they are released into the sea again but not in the same state that they were in originally! (more…)

The price of petrol and diesel has gone up astronomically in the last few months, and we are to expect an even further rise soon!! Many people cannot afford to run their cars anymore and no one can understand why the increase has been so big. The government says that it is because of the high demand from the Chinese which is pushing up our prices here. (more…)

Is this one of the worst summers that we have ever seen, or is it just that we only remember the good days from last year? The last few weeks, we have seen nothing but rain, rain and more rain in many parts of the country. Rain is great in moderation, but it would definitely be a nice time to see a little bit of sunshine. (more…)

Are all the plastic wrappings on products really necessary? When you buy anything from the supermarket these days, the product seems to come wrapped in not one but sometimes two or three layers of plastic wrappings. Have you bought something recently that looks fairly generous only to get it home and to find that it is just a tiny object amidst layers of paper and plastic?
