Consistency should be one of the most important things that a chef should strive for in a restaurant. You may have found a dish that you absolutely loved last time you were at a restaurant and have raved about it ever since. When you go back to the same pub or restaurant for the second time, and order the same dish again, you expect it to come out looking and tasting the same as it did the first time around. (more…)

In many countries all over the world, people are encouraged to do the recycling with various incentives. In the UK, it seems like it is the opposite way around and you are punished if you do your recycling wrong. How many times have you heard of the bins being left behind when a bit of plastic has ended up in the green bin? Or bins being emptied on the lawn and checked randomly to ensure that you have done it properly? This is no way to encourage people to want to recycle! (more…)

Why does it seem like so many youngsters today appear to have no manners or respect for anything? Is it just me, or do you get a lot of teenagers who swagger around as if they own the world and everything in it? Some older women are frightened of the groups of youths that hang around on the street corners, especially later on at night. Do they not have homes to go to? Many of the kids that are out late at night seem to be in their younger teenage years and should not be skulking around late at night in the first place! (more…)

Is this one of the worst summers that we have ever seen, or is it just that we only remember the good days from last year? The last few weeks, we have seen nothing but rain, rain and more rain in many parts of the country. Rain is great in moderation, but it would definitely be a nice time to see a little bit of sunshine. (more…)

Are all the plastic wrappings on products really necessary? When you buy anything from the supermarket these days, the product seems to come wrapped in not one but sometimes two or three layers of plastic wrappings. Have you bought something recently that looks fairly generous only to get it home and to find that it is just a tiny object amidst layers of paper and plastic?

Does anyone think that the recycling system in the UK is a disgrace? Recycling is a great idea and most people are all for doing what they can to preserve the environment. The system that came into play in England a few years ago has got to be one of the most complicated and unhygienic ways to recycle ever. (more…)
