Do you ever find that all the news that you hear about on telly or that you read about in the papers seems to be so depressing? If it’s not the new plague that will kill a large percentage of the population, then it is a new war somewhere in the world!

It seems at times that there is never anything good going on in the world. Surely there must be good things happening as well? Are people only interested in the awful gory stories, or is there nothing good going on that is newsworthy? Every time you open the paper, there has been yet another murder, or a researcher has discovered yet another thing that will destroy our atmosphere! People used to read the newspaper with a cup of coffee before work, or to unwind when they get home. But how can you unwind and relax when all you read about is destruction or pain? What happened to all the feel good heart-warming stories about people and places?  A little bit of a mixture would not go amiss in the news and would let us read the papers without feeling miserable afterwards.
