Have you ever house shared with anyone who has no regard at all to common courtesy? Living in a house where you have to share the kitchen should not be a problem, if everyone just kept to themselves and had a little bit of respect for one another.
Keeping noise levels down should be an obvious thing. Is there any need to go around slamming doors at midnight? Surely, people must know that this is a time of night that the majority of people are trying to get some sleep? A little bit of noise is to be expected when you are sharing a house, but keeping voices down to a normal level should also be done. Why would you walk around talking at the top of your voice at any time during the day so that everyone living there is sure to hear what you are saying!
Sharing a house should not be so difficult if everyone would just respect each other. Leaving dishes with old food in the sink is another one of those things that is just disrespectful to everyone else living in the house. Cleaning up after yourself is not rocket science!
